Heat Recovery Ventilation
Modern homes and low energy buildings are designed to be as air tight as possible to reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency. However, efficient ventilation is important for good health and to remove moisture and pollutants from your home.
Ventilation is often achieved by simply opening a window, but this contributes to heat loss as warm air flows outside. A whole house ventilation system can avoid this by extracting the heat from the stale air on its way outside and transferring this heat into the clean fresh air being drawn in to replace it. Pollen filters can also be fitted to help allergy sufferers.
Whole house ventilation gives a comfortable internal environment – even with all the windows closed, air is fresh.
